denotation and connotation

  denotation: there is a little boy sitting on a chair. There is a unhappy text that stands out. The background is a village and the sky. Connotation: the water aid advert is for people to see what happening around the world in different country's . The connotations is a miserable little boy who looks homeless and looks abandoned in a village. Analysis: The water aid advert helps by people around the world seeing it on social media and feeling bad for the poor boy and donating to him so he can eat and live somewhere. The text makes the readers feel even more miserable as it shows that the kids are sad because people are dying and more graves are being made.

denotation :  There is some text that is multi coloured. the pricing and the whole advert is on a bill board on the side of a house. connotation :  The advert builds on the slogan for aliens  'they are coming'  The connotation of the colour suggests that  the aliens are spooky, gloomy and will enlighten buyers. The colours are joyful and in the background creates connotations of housing th is suggests to the audience that this is an exciting product.  analysis : the connotation is that the advert is trying to say that when the aliens arrive they take the fat people first so that people can go gym and not be fat Gym billboard angers people with claim that aliens will 'take the fat ones first' .  In addition, the text across the top of the advert  uses humour and makes it a spooky text as 'they are coming'  his adds to the positive, happy brand values that are suggested by the construction of the advert.
