Camera movment and editing

 

1) Analyse the camera movement:


The camera movement at the begining of the scene was slow and intensive and suited the setting as he saw his enemies. The slow and intensive moment and the man seeing his enemies at (0:48-0:56) makes the audience feel ready and intrieved to see what happens next. This changes as the man gets chased down by a group of men who look intimidating.


As the man tries to escape the camera follows the man from behind as he runs of to try and escape to make the audience more focused and wanting to watch it. finally when the man has escaped the man was in a safe postion and got away the camera changes as it is in positon aiming at the man breathing heavily.


2) Analyse the editing:

 the speed of the camera being moved at 1:08 whilst the man was running for his life and tried to get his way out he tripped and was breathing heavily. the camera moves swiftly left to right as the man gets thrown in to someones apartment.

3) The close up camera shot at 1:54 shows that tom cruise character is trapped and has no way out.

The high angle over the shoulder camera shot at 2:51 shows that tom cruises character is dangiling whilst being chased.

Camerawork blog tasks

  Throughout the video at 3:31 I caught a high angle shot that shows the character looking up intensively whilst he is trying to create a rift and see if it works. This sets the scene as the characters hoping there rift plan to work . Midway through the video at 2:16 I caught a over-the-shoulder camera shot that shows multiple characters figuring out a plan and coming up with ideas to call there friend. This sets the scene as the characters creating ideas for a plan. Towards the end of the video I caught a close up camera shot that shows a older lady that used to be Prime Minister and her facial expressions showing shes selfless and kind hearted as she puts her life on the line to save the rest of the world. Camera angles: At 3:19 we witness a woman with low angle spectating a malicious computer, with what seems to be coding. From this we can infer that the woman may be planning something.
